Lecturer & team leader
Danielle (Danni) Mulrennan has lectured at AUT University in the journalism and television curricular areas since in 2005, after twenty years in television broadcast news and sports production with New Zealand’s leading networks and production companies. Danni was working for TVNZ in Avalon, Wellington at the time of the Rainbow Warrior bombing and recalls how it shocked the nation. She also had a minor on-screen role as a reporter in an American tele-feature on the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior.
“Producing video stories on news themes related to the Rainbow Warrior made this assignment authentic and meaningful for the students. Many students say they felt privileged to be involved in such a culturally significant project.”
